The following is the complete text for Ann Whipple's story, THROUGH A GLASS, for which digital video discs (DVDs) with the same text are included in the back of this book. The difference is that within the DVDs the words are animated and music accompanies them to induce the proper mood as the viewer's mind is transferring words (moving intellect) into visual images. —Joe D'Ambrosio

Volume One - Fantasy Tales (57 minutes total)

TRACK ONE EMILY & OSCAR (11 minutes)

© 1972, 1980, 2007 by Joe D'Ambrosio

A delightful tale in the manner of Romeo and Juliet about two leaves on separate trees who fall in love with one another: Emily Elm and Oscar Oak. Narrated by Susan Nance with the singing voice of her husband, Jim Nance. Original music and song composed by the author exclusively for this presentation.

TRACKS TWO, THREE, and FOUR Daisies Never Tell (30 minutes total)

© 1982, 1999, 2007 by Joe D'Ambrosio

Part 1(14 minutes) - Part 2 (7 minutes) - Part 3 (9 minutes)

An allegorical tale relating to the human cycle of birth, life, and death. Narrated, and with original music, by the author.

TRACK FIVE THE LITTLE SAND CRAB (15 minutes)

© 1972, 1981 by Joe D'Ambrosio

A mysteriously cryptic fantasy narrated by the author concerning the vagaries of finding a mate, from physical compatibility to financial possibilities. Overly dramatic original music composed by the author to stress the satirical style of the presentation. NOTICE: Strong language and sexual situations.
